Hopeful

She's lost, she doesn't know what to do.

Her emotions flow like their hatred.

As the guns blast in her ears,

they fall.

As she screams and cries for a lost love,

they scream and yell to win the war!

As she wonders how to move on with her life,

they prepare to die for their beliefs.

She wants to know how to build her self-esteem.

They wonder how to build their weapons.

She's on the cliff's edge, staring at the ocean below.

They're on the edge of life and death.

She sees her future.

They see their past.

She jumps for hope.

They jump for life.

She soars above all.

They fall for their love.

...

This poem was inspired by the saying:

"Sometimes you have to just make the jump, and build your wings on the way down." -Unknown
