Honey Bee

I don’t think you deserved my sweet flower touch.

for the longest time, I wish I could hurt you back

make you feel the heartbreak

the crack

for the longest time, I thought this was the sweetest revenge

have you hurt in the way I did

inject it into you like a syringe

now I realize, what I wish I could do

Is take it all back

From you

The love

The kiss

The passion

The bliss.

The peace

The fights

The makeup

The nights.

all of the things that made us, us.

all of the things that made us rush.

all of the things that made me, me.

all of the things that I thought would make you see

that I am the one who truly loves you so.

not those other sirens that you loved on the low.

I don’t think you deserved my sweet flower touch

because just like poison

your shriveled me to dust.

and now I am trying to regrow

with nothing to grasp on

no petals to show

You on the other hand,

A strong honey bee

have sucked all the sweetness

And nectar from me

You live on strong and return to your queen.

who is temporarily taking throne

In your humble abode

I don’t want to hurt you, honey bee

I just want to take back the sweet love that rightfully belongs to me.
