Home.
I've called many places this.
Whether it's in the glorious sunshine of my country,
Or in this one where the rain pours constantly.
My native tongue was different from hers,
But that didn't matter, love has no boundaries.
Every moment I spent with you felt like an eternity,
The happiest of my life.
You brought your culture to me, and mine to you,
Learning new and exciting things I could never dream about.
The smells from the kitchen and the photos around the house
Are proof of that.
We raised children, and grandchildren
Laughed and cried.
But I do not call home a country or a building,
I call home wherever you are.
