Long Walk

Walking home seemed like an eternity

Waiting for something that is not real

Staring into a black screen, waiting….

Wondering as to what is it that I am waiting for?

suddenly the urge for more assumed it’s position…

I felt at ease.

Finally, for once this year control was in my favor

As to say ‘to hell with it’ and just let go

Cloudy mind, with clear skies

Gone in an instance.

Walking home seemed like an eternity

But in reality it took minutes,

Steeping into an elevator

Hoping it malfunctions

No one to hear the silent screams

Pleading for help

As to ask itself ‘why now?’

The present is always a mystery

What is seen is an illusion

Stepping out of the elevator

Feels ‘normal’

The accustomed jingle of keys

Has become Home

Stepping into Home becomes a habitat

Full house

Yet empty inside, to embrace sorrow

Is to give up
