Holding Out

My Ninth

The first time I saw your face

My heart immediately began to race

Being new in this small town

I started to ask around

All my friends said not to try

Told me you weren't my kind of guy

Still a chance I decided to take

Putting my heart again at stake

Never believing in love at first sight

Till I laid my eyes on you that night

Black shirt fedora hat and tight jeans

I wanted you by all means

Beautiful brown eyes black hair and soft lips

I'll never forget our first kiss

Still together and going strong

Holding each other all night long

Never have I been lucky

But still you can't say you love me
