Hold your tongue don't you dare say another word
what make you better than anyone of us
What makes you so worthy, so important
That you can spew such daggers
Hold your tongue don't you dare judge
you are no better than a modern day racist, sexiest, and homophobe
why must it matter wither your white, black, Hispanic, multicultural, women or man
what makes one person better than the other
in the end were all the same on the inside
why must we be judged by the clothes we ware, were we come from, how we are brought up,
who we hang out with, or what type of education we got
This world is a cruel place, no not the world but the society that we live in is what's corrupted
The same society that looks down on gays, lesbians, queers, and young teen mothers
The same society that uses their rules and religion to justify what they're doing
The same society that rules with a man's fist and a mother's tear
Hold your tongue and open your eye's
Remove the blind fold that covers your eyes with sheer ignorance and see the harsh reality
Look, look real hard and see the world around you, look at all the pain a and suffering that is in front of you, look at all the destruction that lies within a single word and the devastation it brings with it
Your words are like bullets and your mouth the gun shooting down those around you
Hold your tongue and listen
Listen to their cries that are hidden within their laughter
Listen for their silent screams for help when they say they are ok when truly, they're not
Listen to their breaking hearts
Can't you feel it
Can't you feel the pain and sorrow that’s within the air
Can't you feel the emptiness that fills them
Can't you feel the brokenness that they have become
Let not your words be another stone to their broken bones
Let not your words cast them further into despair
Let not your words become another wound to their wounded soul
Don't you realize that we are not invincible, we are not strong nor are we weak, we are only human
So, hold your tongue, for you are human as well
Come off your high horse, take off you're armor, and you will see that you are the same as the rest of us.
