Him

He was a vision of beauty with eyes of an icy blue,

The epitome of perfection was all that came to my mind,

Something about the way he smiled, my love for him grew

My heart had been taken and it was to someone so kind.

It was unexpected when he arrived into my life,

But his laugh was pure and eyes shone bright.

There were moments we feared would be the cause of strife,

My mind was dark but he was my light.

I couldn’t escape this love so innocent and pure,

Moving with the ever changing seasons.

Theres no doubt about his being my cure,

This wonderfully perfect boy being my reason.

Even though we may be nine years apart,

My ten year old brother is my world and has all of my heart.
