Hiding From Love

That moment you are fed up.

Sssh! Hush! I'm hiding from love.

It has this obsession with me.

Love moans for me to hold it close,

then screams to be set free.

Sssh! No! Please don't turn around!

Don't even look my way!

Or else love will certainly seek me out

and plead for me to stay.

Through all my sleepless nights

anguish grew inside.

Love quietly watched

tears on my face

as they dried.

I begged Sleep to come sing my heart a lullaby.

Sleep wanted no part of what was causing me to cry.

Aw! See? Why did you move?

Here comes love, again,

promising to keep my heart safe

until the very end.
