Your voice wraps around me like a homemade quilt.
The jokes we make and the breathes that together we take are part of the house we built.
But still, every other day I want to run from you.
However each time I nearly outrun my emotions, I find myself trapped in the same zoo.
Caged and alone, my feelings once again twisting like a cyclone.
Now as I'm on display for all to see,
I look for you in the crowd like a game of hide and seek.
But once we lock eyes, I try to run and hide.
Once again. Hide and seek.
When I finally find a wall to hide behind, I hear your voice and I lose my mind.
Even as I try to be alone
I know I can't deny, you are my home
