Hidden Truth

Beneath the Surface

You have no way of knowing this

Time is fair

You are bliss

You are all

That there is

Bring me liquor, bring me smoke

Hit me with a solid toke

When you're gone

Come another

So it is,

I am your brother

Tonight I leave,

I flee from here

Get me higher than the atmosphere

Tomorrow dawns the darkest truth

I’ll be nothing but another

Blistered feet

Walk the miles

Breathing space is hard to find

Choke me up

So I don't have to

Bleed the tears

Upon my face

Please don't kiss me like the others

I'd much rather dig my grave

For you I muster the greatest of silences

Buried deep is only rage
