Hidden Inside

Inside Looking Out

She hides in the shadows so no one would find her only few knew her just from her silence

Stays quiet for her own protection

Doesn't let no one in because she knows how it is

Thoughts cloud her judgment they hurt in some ways;she's scared to let people in, because she's afraid they won't stay

But she can't break her walls down, she's afraid of what would come inside; she doesn't like change nor the fact that it is happening

No one would completely understand her ways of coping with things; she stares off into space wondering about little things

She soon wrote down her thoughts hoping that it would help her let go, but she still doesn't want to let go at the chance that she would get hurt

People try so hard to get in but she bolts herself inside because the thought of someone actually caring is scary to her

Nothing never really makes since to her but she tries break down her walls; she stares out a window at the people looking in

She catches her reflection she sees her tear stained face she wipes it as walks out her door

She locks it behind her so no one sees the mess inside as she locks the door she puts on her smile turns toward everyone and goes about her way

Because people are use to a smile to stand strong
