Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

A Poem

The beauty of life and death

So precious and pure

From dust to grace

We play the game

To with the race

All life has to endure

The strength we gain

From even more

Heartache and despair

The earth is ours to care

Supported by the stars

To ease our minds

And release our fears

The gift of a tiny seed

For our hearts to treasure

So we can start the new

In what it is that we wish to see

Planted with love

And cherished so dear

A lovely day

That we have

To share

About the Creator

Kayton Hickenlooper

I write to clear my mind. To get out of the fog of daily confusion. An artist by heart. To live, laugh, and grow.
