Here's to All the Boys That Love Me
A Poem

Here’s to all the boys that love me
Please don’t raise that glass to me
Please don’t lock that door to say my name
And never,
Ever,
Feel me
In the pit of your stomach
When our eyes catch on the sidewalk
Or when you see me
And I’m sitting next to him.
I selfishly ask you this
Because I want to live free
Free of you
But also
Free of pain.
I know pain
And I know you.
The thought alone drives me mad
That two old friends may meet
And together, sail away
Straight into the rocks.
All because you love me.
