Hello and goodbye

“I feel odd,” I thought, darkness being the one thing I could bear to see. Light slowly pours into my little spud, the green light engulfing my vision as I wake up. I stretch out my spine and straighten out carefully.

I look around as the temperature decreases. I watch as my brothers and sisters turn beautiful oranges and reds. And I notice that I start to go a slight brownish orange. I lift up my head in order to watch my brothers and sisters gradually fall to the earth. It seems I’m the last to go, and I start to think “What’s this sensation? This sensation of falling from the heavens.” I close my eyes as I feel myself descending upon the cold white bound earth.

I stay in this single spot on this cold ground as a pale white mixes in with the darkness. The coldness slowly fading away as I plunge farther into my slumber.
