A Poem

Dear ex-lover

why'd you have to string me along?

it hurts so much.

I want to be out of my mind

and say it's all my fault or

it's all your fault.

yet I know it

wasn't destined for

us to be with one another.

I want you still

but you don't want me

so maybe it's time

to move on and

find somebody else,

I need to find somebody else.

its hard,

it's so hard.

but I will move on

in time.

Time, in which,

seems like it could last eons.

it's me,

it is all my fault.

I hurt you

I broke your trust

and I can't change any

of it.

you won't let me apologize

I'm so tired of fighting

with you, there is nothing

I can do to fix the

hurt I gave to you.

stop coming to me to

try to find the answers—

I don't have them.

it's better we're apart

so I am leaving.
