A Poem

That candid moment when his eyes gaze upon her canvas. So pure and genuine. Her love captivates him.

That candid moment when her eyes pierce his soul. So precious and guarded. His love captivates her.

No more time for secrecy. Lame apologies and cold-hearted speech.

Give me honesty, loyalty, and a brazen heart that loves unconditionally.

Hazelnut eyes set in dark mocha skin. This young man, yes, strong in build. Rested upon mine eyes towards the end of furlough. Navy man to all. Close friend to I.

Alas! Min eyes shalt not leak upon thy coming departure. Forth with six months are shorter than ten. Indeed.

Be safe, stay well. For I doth await thy return. Oh, dearest brother. When thine foot hath set upon dry ground. When thine arms hath in warm embrace assured me. Of thy well-being and of God’s protection.

Alas! Mine eyes shalt not leak upon thy coming departure. Forth with six months are shorter than ten. Indeed.
