Heartbreak

she sees his name everywhere,

and she can’t get away from it.

she remembers the happy times

and even then it hurt

she knew.

maybe she knew that this love she loved

this love wasn’t true.

oh no but for her it was.

she wanted everything that was you.

your joy, your pain, your loss, your gain

everything that was you.

but maybe she knew

of course she knew

that this lust,

oh yes this lust was true.

this lust was you.

you wanted someone who was new

someone who had been untampered with

like a new gift.

you see, she was but a toy.

a toy you just bought

a toy that was there when you needed it

a toy that was there at your convenience.

a toy that just wanted to be held

a toy that wanted attention

a toy that fell.

a toy that fell when you didn’t want to pick it up

a toy that you simply gave up

because you, you were done with that toy.

you’ve played with that toy.

discovered it’s hidden features

knew how to make it feel different from the other toys.

saw it as just a toy, and no longer

a beautiful creature.

i see his name everywhere.

and all i want is to NOT CARE!

but i knew, deep down i knew

that this love it wasn’t true.

that this lust was all on you

but this pain is real

and all i do is feel

i feel the loss

when all i want is to feel nothing.
