Heartbreak

'A Different Ending'

By Abby SlyterPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Losing someone and expecting not to miss them is like getting a tattoo inked into your skin and then taking a shower and expecting it to rinse.

Hearing that song and expecting not to think of him is like looking at the morning sky and expecting not to see the sun.

Seeing him and expecting your heart to stay afloat is like a 100 percent chance of rain and leaving your house without an umbrella.

Saying goodbye and expecting your mind not to wander to how he is is like rereading a book and expecting a different ending.
