Heart on Sleeve

A Poem

A heart on her sleeve

A wall built so high

She didn't think that anyone could get by

Then you came and made her feel safe

She should've known it was all just a play

Her heart ripped out in the floor

The thoughts of you leaving breaks her to her core

You made her believe all your words and lies

Now she's alone with no one by her side

With tears in her eyes and the wall crumbling down

She wonders how much more she can take of this now.

Her heart is so sore and her mind all jumbled

And just like that her whole world crumbled

You left without a trace a word to be spoken, with a text message in her phone and a heart ripped wide open
