Heart of Gold

A Poem

I was hurt

I was depressed

All because of the love I have stressed

So I wrote this poem hoping I would feel a little less

Our hearts are wild creatures that's why our ribs are cages

As the years past by the love inside us ages

Our minds try to tame the beast inside as our hearts soar through the dark night sky But the cloud called love blinds whats visible to the naked eye

From pain to depression our hearts grow with an obsession

It breaks the cage and unleashes my rage that bites at the bottom of this page

My chest burns as it yearns for the taste of life for it has been stabbed by loves knife

My pulse starts to race as I feel the hot water on my face

Emotions are to strong for anybody to contain

So I hide all of mine in the back of my brain...
