The Desperate Chime of a Healing Heart
I’ve never liked the sound of wind chimes. They sound like a graveyard to me.
Like the noise of a terrible war or the heart wrenching racket of an argument; that’s what these wind chimes sound like to me.
But wait! Listen.
The wind has died down, and a new sound is wafting on the breeze. Like a lullaby straight from the heart of a loving mother, that’s what these wind chimes sound like to me.
Could it actually be coming from the same wind chimes? The same wind chimes that sounded like dark times coming before now?
It is!
But how do such terrible sounds and wonderful ones come from the same place? Like repentant hearts after realizing the terror they’ve caused; that’s what these wind chimes remind me of.
Perhaps I should change my tune as well.
