He Said It Would Be Fun

It definitely wasn't baby.

the smell of chlorine

the look of the man sitting

besides our table

the biggest smirk on his face

bright eyes blue and green

he said it would be fun

we talked the wind blew

i don't remember what he said

everyone was gone

just me and him

his hair waved in the wind

he said it would be fun

he grabbed my hand

led me to the parking lot

the blue car small but large

he put me in, closed the door

pressed a button the lock went up

he said it would be fun

slide in and took my hand

looked me in the eyes

smiled and laughed

those bright eyes were now dull

and now so are mine
