A Mini Story in 5 Chapters

Chapter 1

He is carrying her in his arms

She is helpless – He needs to help her

She is fragile – He needs to hold her

She needs me – He is there for her

She needs protection – He must protect her

He must provide for her

Chapter 2

He puts her down for a moment

He feels tired

He looks at his arms and they are full of wounds and pus is leaking

He feels resentful

He feels taken advantage of

He feels taken for granted

Chapter 3

She is caring for him

She asks him how he feels over and over

He is mostly silent

He does not know what to say

He is curled up over himself

She is pouring all her love on him

She believes in him, if only he… did this / behaved like that / wore that…

Chapter 4

She goes away for a moment

She feels tired

She is grey and arid, nothing is flourishing within her

She feels resentful

She feels taken advantage of

She feels taken for granted

Chapter 5

He and She walk side by side

Sometimes they hold hands and are intimate

He feels heavy and burdened

She listens and is present for him

She does not try to heal or fix him

She feels strong emotions and feels lost

He listens and is present for her

He does not try to heal or fix her

They support each other in their individual growth

They are happy for each other’s achievements

They cheer each other on

They witness each other’s growth, happiness and support

They do not hold

They do not grasp

They do not claim

They know themselves deeply

They are aware of their own bullshit

They take care of their own needs

They communicate clearly

They are responsible for themselves

Love flows

Respect flows

Admiration flows

Energy flows

Life flows

There are ups and downs

Sometimes the story means together for a long time

Sometimes the story means together for a certain amount of time

Sometimes the story means not together

There is no end, this is just THE BEGINNING.

The first two chapters of this story were inspired by a dream a friend of mine shared with me. The dream had a specific meaning for her. When I heard it I heard something else and all of a sudden this story started to unfold in my head.

I know I used the He and She, but this is a story that happens between parents and their children, between any gender relationships, between any relationships, not necessarily romantic or family ones.

This is the story of humanity. This is the future of humanity. We must all step up, own our bullshit, take responsibility for ourselves and work together in true partnership of love and respect for each other.
