Have you ever wanted to be a tree?

My First Submitted Poem

Have you ever dreamed of being a tree?

With roots that grew six feet underground, and although you felt alone there were always other trees around.

Where you could grow big, or equally tall. Wherever you were there would be no judgement at all.

Where you were never too hot or too cold and if you lived past 300 that still wouldn't be very old.

Where each winter would pass and summer meant you would grow again.

In the forest where there is no such thing as pain, or heartache, or loneliness.

Have you ever dreamed of being a tree?

Where wind could blow through your leaves and that just meant you were free.

Where fresh air wasn't a luxury.

A safe place that you were always at peace, and every breath you took was a complete, release.

Where your branches alone would not let you fall, a place where you didn't have to think anything at all.

A place where you could just be.

Have you ever dreamed of being a tree.
