Hard to Love

Poem (Excerpt Out of a Book I'll Never Write) About Heartbreak and the Struggles to Get Through Life and Still Manage Being Happy and Moving On

I try to be good enough,

But it seems that could never be.

How come true love,

Isn't always what it seems?

I'm a beauty with a brain

And the kindest heart

Yet every time I try and show myself

They just want to rip me apart.

Bit by bit.

Piece by piece.

But all I ever wanted was to create peace.

To be happy

And share my love

Show the love that was shared to me From up above.

But under all these clouds

And all this rain,

My mind seems cluttered and

I'm starting to grow insane.

When will I finally be enough?

When will someone finally stay?

When will someone finally tell me

Not to go away?

All I've ever wanted was to be loved.

Receive the love

I give

Finally live the life

I deserve to live.

To finally be number one

And never again be number two

Finally just have things

Just between me and you.

No others, just us.

The way it always should be.

But that could never be,

Because I am...

I am me.
