My dream is to be happy.
My dream is to be...
happy.
There are many things that could happen
in order to make me happy.
Many parts of my life
could come together.
Many people
I could know.
Many things
I could do.
Many places
I could be.
But,
I don't know what those are.
Maybe it's
having a certain person in my life.
Maybe it's
having that person
while also pursuing a certain goal.
Maybe it's
just pursuing this one passion.
Maybe it's
going to a particular place.
Maybe it's
discovering myself.
Maybe it's
having the best body I can.
Maybe it's
getting onto a billboard.
Maybe it's
having as much money as possible.
Or maybe...
maybe it's none of that.
Maybe
it's something else.
Something
I don't know about.
In the 17 years that I've been alive,
maybe it's something
I have yet to find.
Something I haven't learned.
Something I may never learn.
What is my dream?
My dream is to be
Happy.

I’ve found the more I want happiness the more it alludes me.. it kinda sneaks up in glimmers once you get the train rolling by doing things or being with people that make you happy; obviously it’s more complex then that, but I really enjoyed your poem! 😊
