Getting There

Have you ever had someone in your life that lead you? Someone you needed around because if one day they weren't, your next step might be a little shaky? I'd like you all to meet Haley, The Valley's haven, a secure space where The Valley can breathe.

I always find Haley somewhere in my life cheering me on. She comes around and she tells me I'm beautiful or I'm inspiring. She allows me to have that fleeting feeling of being enough. She's always encouraging me and I love her for that. Haley is so beautiful and friendly and outgoing. She is one the very few people that listened when God said, "My child I love you deeply, go live your life and be happy please, do it for me." She lives her life in a way that shows how much she knows God loves her. I admire her for that.

For years now, I've needed to know how I'll get 'there'. There being a place where I'll never have to question the girl that stares back at me in the mirror. That place where I won't have to ask her why she's here. With Haley blessing my life with her presence, I know somehow I'll get there. With her encouraging me and leading me and moving me forward I know for a fact that 'there' can't be too far from 'here'.

She is the wind that carries me. Sometimes when storms get crazy I'll go sit at my massive front window in my house and just watch it. The storm wakes me up and draws me to it. Haley is my storm, she wakes me up and pulls me into a place where I can accept everything that I am and love myself for being so. She's my haven, she is how I'm getting there.
