jonquils and daffodils too
yellow trumpets Spring

teakettle hissing
snow on the cherry blossoms
taking the day off

"LIFE CHURCH"
for the flock to drink
the fountain must overflow
and fill the basin

"HE HAS ARISEN"
apple blossoms rain
like celebrants' confetti
Easter has arrived

abject poverty
heightens the rat stench blare of
the trickle down lie

a man ain't happy
'til no naked refugees
in churches' closets

in my travel bag
a new pen, paper, passport

the world will wait for
a curly-haired boy to say
