Gypsy Soul

Travel the California coast, and I guarantee you can't help but stop in awe on the side of the road to capture the true beauty of everything around you. The friendly, colder atmosphere. The ocean. The sound of the seagulls flocking in the distance. Boats pulling up in the harbor. The early morning dew still fresh midday and the cold crisp air inhaled in each breath. Close your eyes... and you can feel the sand between your toes.

The wind howls

And the lighthouse bells chime louder.

I can see the peaking crimson red roofing standing tall in the horizon.

The warm reddish orange sun glowing wild with rage behind it.

The ocean tide comes in strong

And screams of serenity.

Seagulls speaking as they fly towards the clouds that hang low.

The density and thickness of them makes me wonder how soft they may feel.

I shut my eyes and breathe in.

I smell nothing but the salt water air rise within my nostrils

And open my eyes and exhale to the beauty before me.

The tide comes in closer and the water envelops me.

Creating goosebumps on my naked calves as they try and ride me out to sea.

And a part of me wanted to let go.

To fall in and be swallowed hole.

But the strong breeze against my shoulders made me think otherwise

I was cold.

I was so cold.

But I couldn't move.

My feet hooked to where I was standing.

My gaze never leaving for I was in pure awe.

This moment.

It lasted in moments but will last forever.
