A Love Story

1 'It'll never happen again

I never meant to hurt you

I don't expect forgiveness

tell me you love me too'

'I always have to make it better'

'You always have to be right'

I can't look in the mirror

and you can't sleep at night

2 'It'll never happen again

I never meant to hurt you

Please, you can't leave me

don't you love me too?'

'You need to make this better'

'You know that I'm right'

You can't look in the mirror

and you can't sleep at night

3 'It happened again, I'm so sorry

I can't believe what I've done

I know I've broken you badly

but baby, please don't run'

'I promise to make it better'

'I promise to make it right'

You're drowning in your mirror

You're starting to lose the fight

4 'I know you just forgave me

But I lied to you once more

You're eyes glistening in pain

this is different than before'

I wish I made it better

I cannot make this right

I made you feel less than

{good enough}

I guess I just lost sight

I'm sorry I couldn't help myself

I blamed everything on you

I should've let you go

I don't know what to do

You made yourself better

You were always right

So beautiful in the mirror

so peaceful in the night

About the Creator

Rebecca Jones

Your promises are empty and your eyes are screaming. Words like darts from your mouth with snakes in your throat. A slithering smile biting what once was; you consider the flavor your kill has to offer, yet she doesn't stand a chance.
