green everywhere.
the flowers from the trees
falling on the air.
sky baby blue
soft cotton clouds
breeze blowing gent-lie all around.
sweet little Angel on my hip
curly brown hair and cheeks rosy red
don’t ask for daddy
daddy done gone
it’s just you and me now
in our little ole home
sweet little Angel
go out and play
but come back to mama
by the last of Day.
Day comes down
with a fury from above
sweet little Angel
hurry on home
next day no sign
of rosy red cheeks
petals falling down
from the flowers and the trees
