Greatest Deception

To the world I was a man rocking the latest pair of Jordan's as I placed on the other shackle which was purposely placed on my feet I used materialistic things which had no actual value or meaning to be of that which gave me what I would need oblivious of the fact that both shackles blinded me from becoming the person I was supposed to be

I guess you can say I was a person blinded by the money and greed so I didn't care about any racial social issues that affected those around me those brothers who remained in psychological warfare and the thousands of people of color who looked just like me who were in a prison cell wishing to be free

I free willingly placed on both shackles which slowly killed me symbolically

See when you looked at me I was already a slave thinking that if I picked the latest pair of Jordan's over my actual purpose then I would be the most real nigga Yeah the most real nigga which wasn't even equal to a Negus(King) so it was too late for me to be saved

Consciously blinded and naive all I wanted was the greed so when I was shot and killed while being unarmed they didn't care to see the real me cause they were euphoric to watch me bleed

They watched me in awe cause to them I was just that real nigga rocking the latest pair of Jordan's and that's how I died I died as I the person who was placed in shackles who now cried out like the others begging to actually be free

Moral of this poem is this: Knowledge and power are one's greatest weapon thinking you need materialistic things to define your actual worth is mankind's Greatest Deception...
