Some is at the least
Something to be had,
And more is more
Than something – be glad.
Most is almost good,
and may not be that bad.
But all - take a breath -
Is everything we hope.
We are, after all,
All seeking the same.
You want only one,
And I want all of one.
This photo was taken in September 2017 in Hendersonville, North Carolina. I was on my way to an apple festival with my kids and saw a blanket of wildflowers on the roadside. Bees were busy as...well, bees... and I snapped as many shots as I could. I was impressed with the amount of pollen on this bee’s legs. The relationship between bee and flower is as metaphorical as it beautiful. Beauty and sweetness are exchanged and the arrangement is critical for each’s survival.
