From the Depths

cradled to the corner

my insanity, loss of touch

of what is known as real

it’s delusion to say

i live in chrome

a luxury of being

just a number

a bed of nails

soaked in the blood of the tribe

i just lay

as they once did

i could climb

or let myself cave in

swim to shore

drown to the depths

doesn’t matter

the rope is at my feet

suzmi! you have a chance!

just like everyone else!

you just have to fight for it!

except everyone is climbing the same

tower to reach

the same

gilded fruit

the same

set of shackles

the same

rusted dreams

just fight them off! survival of the fittest!

who am i to say i can conquer

when i’m the only one i know?

just fuck off with that already

leave me to hold

my own head

planted on the stake

i’m tired anyways
