Are you haunted by a past love?

My ghosts are polite, they always stop and say hi.

A courteous haunting, a frightful delight.

Scaring me silly in the midst of daylight.

From deep in the woods these creatures arrive.

A temporary stay, yet no end in sight.

No apology, just another goodbye.

Every few months, a new message of course.

If time is money they charge a great cost.

Wandering through my mind, I pray you get lost.
