Generational Decay

'...Emotions are a placebo and negligence is the sickness.'

we slowly decay in a generation of sex

hook ups

walks of shame

and

one night stands

my generation has conditioned me

to believe

the idea of true intimacy

is irrelevant and the only thing

that matters is the fact that you’re

getting laid

orgasms are easy

and people cum and go

we slowly decay in a generation of heartache

and heartbreak

where emotions are a placebo

and negligence is the sickness

undress my body

and reveal my naked skin

undress my mind

and reveal my naked soul

romance my body

and make love to my every thought

we slowly decay in a generation

that craves sexual gratification

if you undress my body

i’ll be gone in the morning

leaving nothing but the

memory of a good fuck

if you undress my soul

i’ll be gone from yours

leaving nothing but

the remnants of the

person you thought i was
