Friends Forever, No Matter What

By my younger self.

Just a sad song,

With nothing to say.

Lifetime went by,

And you still ask if I'm okay.

Do you even really care?

Notice that I'm there?

Well I don't need you.

Nothing you can do.

Where is your heart?

I guess there is nothing I can say,

To change that part.

Why is it so hard understanding,

A life so demanding.

Want to break down and cry?

We won't let you even try.

We'll pick you up

And dust you off.

I'm not okay,

But I'll make your landing soft.

I don't care about me.

I am not afraid to walk the world alone,

Just wait you'll see.

But you,

I'll pull from the ashes,

Fight anyone that clashes.

It's you and me,

On stage for everyone to see.

Don't let the roar of the crowd give you heartache to sing.

It's your time to shine, rule like a king.

Rock your heart out,

And don't let anyone steal your spot-light.

It's your vision, your life,

Your light.

Never lose sight of it.

Sing it,

Scream it if you have too.

I love the person you are,

Not the douche with the fancy car.

I love your personality,

In this life that kinda love is key.

Remember who your real friend is and know who want to use you,

Cause under the looking glass is everything you do.

It just depends on how they see it.
