Fragments of Me Part 1

You may think that the small appearance I have made in your life makes up a part of the real me in some sense. But let me dismiss any notion that your opinion matters at all. You are insignificant and cannot flee. Unless you become beyond family to me, all of you will end up in the past tense.

This began when I was a child and is heavily prominent today. I can smile at you, make you feel important and wanted, and as though you can prosper and stay. In a way, this is a truth. But when I come through in the form of a Fire Bat into your life, your heart will become the thing I can subdue.

So why am I a Fire Bat, you may ask? Filled with darkness and secrets and danger—it is an honest mask. I have wings to flee from you when boredom or fear strikes, yet until that moment the fire within me can warm up your lust. As a Fire Bat, I dance and on your soul I cut. The damage will be done until my true master and lover orders me to erupt. Whether my fun with you was genuine or fake, the only thing we can both believe in is my departure—in this you can trust.

Fire is a tool for survival, yet an ultimate weapon against life. Bats have been shaped to become a symbol of death and strife. Both of these elements are tainted by others; I hope you can see that I am poison-handed to you in covers. Not because I chose or want to be, but as a result of years where I suffered.

This is not the worst side of me, as you will soon see. If you fail to understand, imagine the yin and yang existing between these lines, and understand the why's and how's when eventually I leave.
