Forgiveness

A Poem

Why do you have to fight

You know it's not right

All of your time wasted

On this petty hatred

Lay down your weapons

Lay down your swords

For nobody is giving you a round of applause

Forgiveness ain't easy

But give it a chance

Because nobody's perfect

You should know that by now

She may have hurt you

But it was accidental

And life is too short

To drive yourself mental

You tell me you're strong

But true strength lies in forgiveness

You can tell me I'm wrong

But inside you can't deny this

Open up your heart again

Don't keep it in the dark friend

You only live one lifetime

Hold on to everyone like a lifeline
