Forgive Yourself

Your heart is true.

Tonight you're feeling a little sad,

And think of sadness as of curse.

For such a state you blame yourself,

Cause there are people who feel worse.

You judge yourself for being not good enough.

For having not best looks or traits.

Once you succumbed, though you should've been rough,

And now you think you've lost your face.

Tonight you realised - your being altruistic

Was fake, you've been so egocentric

And you have been sometimes sadistic,

When you enjoyed your not being authentic.

Remember, we all fall into these pitfalls.

We can not sometimes allow ourselves just to be.

Until we find ourselves, we build walls.

Until we're not awake, we're not free.

There's hardly anyone else in the entire world,

Who's more mean and cruel to yourself than you.

And though your mind may be extremely blurred,

Your real intention and your heart are true.

Forgive yourself.

Forgive yourself for affliction,

Forgive yourself for aggression,

Forgive yourself for addiction,

For being repressed and for repression.

Forgive yourself for delusions,

For being not enough alert.

For coming to hasty conclusions.

For causing pain and having been hurt.
