I forgive you,

I realised

A long time ago,

The only way to move on;

Was for me to let go,

Of all that pain;

You left me,

Shards that broke me

Quite literally;

In two.

It took a while,

I know that's true.

But without you,

I wouldn't have known;

The strength I had within.

I realised;

I was worth more

& forgiveness

Was the only way in.

You see,

You no longer dim;

The rays of sunshine,

You hid away.

Cause now they are here;

Here to stay.

I forgive you,

I truly do.
