Forget

Yourself

Forget...

Unwanted and violently shunned

a fragile rose taken and thrown down

alone

fearful and shy she danced in a puddle of sadness

splashing in the pile of ashes

that surround the edges of her mind

kicking up specs of dust

and sweeping them aside

Forget...

She spins in circles with her solemn shadow

as flurries of snow tear through the flesh of her song

one last curtsy

she lets her mind unfold

secrets slowly engulf her into the depths of truths darkness

a place so black

she knows it and feels at home

Forget...

Blood fueled demons hide

lurking amongst the footsteps that her sadness left behind

feeding and stalking her last hopeful thought

leaving her alone with everything she lost

unwarned she opens her arms and welcomes them as her own

Forget...

The demon's flames lick her tongue

as she wrestles with hatred that cannot be undone

Blind she feeds her beast and they intertwine into one

Clawing their way out from inside

she has been found

there is nowhere to hide

Forget...

Nothing left to steal as she prays for her surrender

A razor cuts her cancer out

and strips it from the bone

Anger fills her sorrowful eyes

as she eats her numbness and becomes the devils drone

Forget...

The smell of copper stains the floor

as it drips from her veins

leaving her with life no more

One last word escapes her mouth as she succumbs

to what she was running from

Remember...
