I went to play pool one day,

to commemorate what we did,

She's just as good as me,

You done well there kid.

It was hard driving to our place,

To play the game we used to play,

Parking up in the same spot,

"Your car will be fine," you would say.

Walking into the building,

Thinking of all that food,

Scared if it would be spicy,

But every time it was good.

I ordered your drink,

Lemonade with blackcurrant cordial,

Just because I was driving,

I stayed away from alcohol.

Where you sat so did she,

I got a glimpse of your face,

Throat tight I tried my hardest,

To stop tears coming out in this place.

Emotions ran wild,

As I reminisced on a previous time,

It's been hard to come back here,

As Wednesdays were yours and mine.

Felt like you were there,

Eating what we ate,

I still find it quite spicy,

Each time we went on our date.

I'm glad I took this step,

To help me move forward,

I felt like I was cheating,

But it never got awkward.

I may have let her win,

As we know you were better than me,

These things have to be done,

To be as normal as can be.

I really enjoyed our times,

And the things we laughed about,

I really miss our chats,

Saying things without a doubt.

One day we will have it back,

And be normal like we was,

Someday we will meet again,

In this life or the clouds above.
