Forbidden Virtue

A Poem

By Sol DevereauxPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Let me find a way to pass the time

In mind possibilities are endless

Surrendered by the menace

Trust punctured the already lifeless hold

Exposed the feelings avoided

Exposed the price I pour in

Another choice for destiny

Opportunity lies strong at both infinitely

Contemplate a scene I know

Dramatic effects harmonize each blow

Meant to break down waiting for the end

Amend what you recommend; I will not participate in arrangements of thought. I know I am wrong, for belonging to titles so meaningless. Competing to be the best, what was the rest you heard? I jump overboard to explore my lost instinct. Guiding me through open and unopened wounds to not think. I am— I am the one who stands stronger in the visions of the forbidden land.
