Love

I see you. You see me. Electricity fills the air. The gravitational pull is undeniable.

A simple smile. Letting each other know.

Laughter fills the air. Above the noise, I can pick out your voice. Gentle. Soft. Sweet.

I catch you out of the corner of my eye. Making your way over. You sit down and join us with ease. Nothing has felt more right.

I don't remember what we were talking about. All I can see is you. Your eyes are timeless; I get lost in them. Your mouth turns to a smile, it brightens the room. You blush as you catch me watching you.

There is something about you. The night comes to a close.

A hug and a peck on the cheek. An "I'll see you tomorrow," as you walk away. As we go back to our normal lives. Knowing that this love that is blossoming... can never happen.

The only solace I have is looking at the moon. Wondering if you're looking at it too
