I still breathe for you.
Every breath reminds me that you loved me.
I close my eyes and start counting…one, two.
Maybe if I breathe faster I could force you out and you can let me be.
I still cry for you.
Every tear wash away the kisses you left on my cheek.
I no longer want them there. I want something new.
Those gave me nothing more than a losing streak.
I lost myself trying for you.
And because of each breath and tear I lost, I gained strength.
I shed all the pain that you put me through.
For the first time we are no longer on the same wavelength.
