Foolish
11:14 A.M.
The anger and misunderstanding is not an unknown sensation.
Just when you thought someone cared,
there you go believing them, trusting them...
You become invisible and they no longer see the real you.
You don’t see them.
You made mistakes, you were naive.
But forgiving is the first step.
Does it hurt more to not have closure?
Or hear the truth?
Some of us would rather convince ourselves that we didn’t do anything
wrong.
We might not reflect and not regret what we’ve done.
Yet, some of us, who despite feeling being pain, come to terms
with our foolishness, our naivety for who we trusted in.
How foolish are we to fall for someone who is unreal?
I guess you can say that we become foolish because it’s easier to
acknowledge that although we knew better,
we didn’t do better.
We give people the benefit of the doubt,
to feel satisfaction,
to feel wanted,
to have attention.
When everything has been said or done,
it’s already too late.
There is no turning back and there is not enough affection or apologies
that could take place of your foolishness.
We don’t always get a second chance.
We have to accept our consequences.
Foolish,
is the word,
the feeling,
the first internal acceptance that you fucked up.
But now it's the time to be better and finally do better.
