Is anybody truly themselves or do they put on a front for the sake of others?

Do they act and dress to be accepted?

Do they favor things because that's what the majority likes?

Are they so scared to let their own light shine that they hide in the shadows of others?

Are they scared they won't be accepted as they are?

It's a shame that uniqueness seems to have faded

That most have chosen to be sheep rather than lead their own lives

It's a shame that they feel the need to be a certain way to be liked or even loved

Truly it is sad that they allow the input of others to mold their minds

They are no longer in control of their lives for they have granted others the right to walk them like dogs

They beg for the attention they crave and gravel at the feet of their masters

Like slaves they just do what's expected of them

When will they break their chains and be a master of themselves?

When will they see that the opinions of others isn't what matters?

It is their opinion of themselves that does

Accept and love yourself and all else will fall into place

Live your life the way you want to

Don't worry of what others think

What you think of you is what's most important

Don't be scared to be differen
