Folk Song for the Few

Would you write me a letter? Would you do it if I were 6"2? Amidst all the lovely girls, I have only eyes for you.

Would you let me tutor you in science? So you wouldn't have to drop out of school. Would you let me take you to the dance? Would you do it if I had better moves? Amidst all these lovely girls, I have only eyes for you.

Would you let me drive you home? Would you let me if I had a nicer car? Would you do me the honor of acknowledging my existence, amidst these lonely crowded halls.

This is a folk song for the few, for the kids who popularity left behind. A swan song for the romantics, because everything's better in two's. Girl I don't know what else to say, it's been a rather long day. If you ever need a number two. Amidst all these lovely girls, I have only eyes for you.
