Flooded

The first thing I wrote for ukulele. Make of that what you will.

A most porpoiseful porpoise - just look at that determined gaze!

I am standing ankle deep in tepid water

More comes pouring in from every crevice I see

But it doesn't bother me

I'm being flooded from the sewer

Now it's waist high, and threatens to engulf me

But I can't even see

This is no devastating flood

This is just what is in my blood

I throw my head back and enjoy it

The cool water, it refreshes me

I can't smell, so I don't care if it's clean

I always wanted to be a dolphin

Or maybe a porpoise is a better fit

They're less streamlined, perfect

This is no devastating flood

This is just what is in my blood

This is no devastating flood

This is just what is in my blood

I want to be beautiful

So let's swim away

Let's swim away

The sewers run deep and everywhere

So let's swim away

Become a dolphin today

This is no devastating flood

This is just what is in my blood

This is no devastating flood

This is just what is in my blood

This is no devastating flood

This is just what is in my blood
